Well Spence paid a visit yesterday to come and fish Parksville this morning...

We hit the water right at daylight and fished until 12:30 this afternoon.

Before the trip I had told him to not expect to much, the lake has been slow most of this summer... So just enjoy the nice weather and scenery!
We got out there and started off worm fishing bluff walls... I got a bite on my first cast, the fish just got away with the worm. We werent sure wether that was a good thing or not to get a bite on the first cast. But it didnt really matter because we did alright the rest of the day atleast.

We fished worms for a while and caught just a couple small spots. But then we decided to try the toad topwater just to see if we cant just get one bite. Well, the toad bite was a little bit on today which was exciting. We only managed 2 or 3 fish topwater but did miss a couple nice ones here and there.

So for the rest of the day we fished a little with the toad and a little with worms. We caught about 12 spots today and missed plenty more.

The fish really quit biting by the time the sun and pleasure boaters started coming out... So the last hour of fishing was really slow.

Spence and I may hit it again in a couple weeks... I hope he had a blast even though the fishing is slow up there, I think he did.

We'll see you again soon, I enjoyed it.
Here's the pics
