After the slow day that we had trying to catch Largemouth on Saturday up around Soddy Creek, the wife and I decided to put in below Chickamauga Dam and do a little "lazy mans" fishing by trolling crankbaits.

We concentrated on channel breaks primarily. We started at the railroad bridge and trolled the red buoy side down to The VFW dock and then switched sides and fished the green buoy side down to the Market Street bridge.

The lures used were DD-22's on one side of the boat and 300 series bandit crankbaits on the otherside. The 300 series out fished the DD-22 bigtime with the exception of the nice 3lb Smallmouth that was caught on the DD-22 and the 2 Catfish.

Totals were 2 smallmouth, 15 spotted bass, 2 catfish, and 1 drum. Most of the Spots were small. 4 or 5 were good enough to keep but decided to release them. All fish were released.
