fishinvol, CFF # 9, Bass, Sometime, Davo
#1
Thought Davo and I had a decent plan starting out ( like any of our plans ever work out). Started on a point where there had been some schooler for the last 2 months.....well didn't show up. Moved across the lake to another point that does very well this time of year. Davo catches a keeper right away, but thats it for that spot. Make a pretty good run up river and flip a little stretch of bank with out a nip. Move out to some brush and Davo tags our second keeper of the day on a football jig. Head back into a creek to throw topwat over grass , waste of time ( nothing new to this point). On the way out we decide to fish a little stretch of docks, me with a spinnerbait and he was throwing a fluke. I catch our third keeper out side a dock. So we have a limit ( a lame one). Move even further up river to fish some deeper grass, that apparently had packed up and moved, because we never found it. We see some schoolers in shallower and some look to be the ones that could really help us, so we head in there. Catch a few short ones and then start seeing huge blow ups in some grass mats!! Well guess what?? We didn't bring any of our frog equipment ( not even 1 frog). So played in that area for a while, the schoolers would come and go, but never helped us. So headed up river further, and that was also a waste of time. So we head way back down river and start throwing spinnerbaits over a shallow hump. Nothing there either. We had 40 minutes left so I put the trolling motor on high and we slung blades along a long bank with tons of docks and I finally caught another keeper that would cull one. That's our story, just another day in the life of team donation. Smile Depending on what time the Tennessee game is on, I'll see you all at the classic.
