Fished with Tennessee Valley Bass Club this weekend on Guntersville. We launched from the Hwy 117 bridge in a down pour. Ran up river and focused on wood and rocks with Pop-r&#39;s and shakey heads. Ended day 1 with 14lbs and some change with big fish 5.5lbs putting us in 4th. On day 2 we headed back up river and struggled all day long as the water rose. About an hour and a half before weigh in, the barometer fall sharply and in about 30 min we caught 2 spots 2 nice smallies and a lg mouth on small crankbaits on rock. We ended the tournament with 24.88 lbs good for a 3rd place check and day 1 big fish.<br /> Its hard to go to the big G and not fish the grass this time of year but the bite seems way off from what it should be. Most of the teams went down river but few caught limits. I was not excited about going up and away from the grass but it did pay off. Outside of the box is always wierd.<br /> The Tn valley club run a good tournament and are a good bunch of guys. Weims
