We had rough day on the lake yesterday. First at the ramp above the Dam, started out with high hopes as always. Fishing was very slow, only caught four small bass,@ 5 lb catfish and two bream. Fought the wind and waves all day, from the Dam to all the way above Harrison Bay St. Park and back.

Later in the afternoon we were fishing down the bank of a big slough, working our way to the back, hoping to catch the bass in the jumps in shallow water. A Big Ranger came roaring wide open past us, directly to the back of the slough, stopped, made his first cast under a dock and pulled out a big bass.

We were happy for him, but being discouraged already from a rough day, my first thought and even the words that came out of my mouth were "He just caught our Fish!!!"

The Ranger Fisherman only made a few more cast, started up and headed back out and stopped a few feet out from us. He said he was sorry for getting in front of us and ask if we saw him catch that fish. "It was so thoughtful of Him." He than pulled out the 6 1/2 lb. bass from his livewell to show us. Let it go right in front of us, started his big Ranger and roared out of the Slough. Was that nice of him or was that Rubbing it in on two wet, tired fellow fishermen in our little, slow Stratos?

We still had Great day of fellowship on the lake and God blessed us with a Beautiful rainbow.
