Jerry, Center Hill, (no) walleye, 10/20/2009, Labman
#1
Yesterday was a beautiful day on the water and I got to know a nice man, Norman (Labman) Neel, from CFF. We spent the day fishing on Center Hill and at least trying to catch walleye. Norman won both the big fish of the day, a 12 inch spotted bass, and the most fish, one. But I was in there with lots of advice, which as you can tell was worth every thing I got for it--nothing. The lake was at a good level and the ramps had plenty of water. The water temperature was 68 degrees all over the main lake portion, down from 72 degrees a few days ago. We were told at the ramp that the fishing had been pretty slow, and this was a point we reinforced. We fished some good looking points and deep flats. Most were devoid of fish, but several had a number of fish that were scattered both vertically and horizontally.
