John and I were to meet this am at HB at 8:30 which we did, put in and made it out to the middle of HB when his motor quit, acted like it "sheared a pin" and wouldn't go into gear. He called DK and DK was willing to come and pull us in but after trolling for a few minutes toward HB we called him back and told him we'd limp on in which we did (What a guy that DK is, willing to drop what he was doing to help us out, THANKS DK). After that I went and got my boat and met John back at HB about 11:00 am and we fished until about 4:00 pm. We went up river and fished some creeks with blowdowns, logs, and cover that should hold crappie this time of year and they did. We used stubby butts, panfish assassins, and BG Shads in shad colors mostly dipped in chartruce glow dip. Fish seemed to be moving as sometimes they would be in 20ft and sometimes in 4 or 5 ft. We caught about 37 or 38 crappie with 27 keepers and a few blue gill and even a yellow bass. The weather was beautiful, just a little cool. The bite was very subtle and I don't think I even checked the water temp today.

John Faulker put us on some fish and he knows how to find 'em and CATCH 'em too. I had a ball today John and looking forward to another trip soon. John, I hope the boat isn't wounded too badly. It was really a pleasure fishing with you today. emoWorthy emoThumbsup emoWorthy emoThumbsup emoThumbsup
