Norman (Labman) took me fishing again today. My magical watch reported that it wouldn't be as good a day as it has been the past few days, but we still managed a good day. 55 crappie came into the boat, 2 bass, and 2 bluegills. The weather was clear as a bell. No wind until about 10:00 then it picked up from the NE and got stronger as the morning wore on. About the time that we decided to run downriver to fish a couple of spots, the wind changed directions and began to blow from the south and was whitecapping the lake. It blew like that for about an hour or so, then began to die down.

We fished docks, bluffs, and blowdowns and had most luck on bluffs. A few came off docks and very very few on blowdowns. But, we were exactly in between movements according to my watch when we were fishing blowdowns. Oh, I almost forgot. We even fished a bridge abutment and caught 5 or 6 fish, but that was at the tailend of the morning feedbag. I haven't fully convinced Norman about the fishing times yet, but he is beginning to think that there may be something to it. Especially when the fish began to bite again when the watch said they were supposed to be feeding. emoBig
That was after a 2 hour lull in the fish catching.

We saw EPaul on the water and he told us about his adventure this morning. I don't know whether to report it or not, cause he might get mad at me, but I'll take a chance. He fell off his trailer this morning while launching his boat and spent the better part of the day shivering and drying out. When we saw him, he was almost completely dry. I will go ahead and apologize to you Paul if this offends you. You can zing me anytime that you want. emoBig

BG shads and ringer stingers caught all the fish today. 1/16 oz jigheads and blue ice, crystal shad, double silver rainbow, albino shad, and pearl with a tail light were our productive colors. I think that I'll rest tomorrow. Hal is going to wear me out on Friday. emoBig
