JDK, Riverpark, HOF PB SPAT and some Nice Smallies, 11/11

<br /> Well got to the ramp and the water was in the parking lot wasn't sure how the fishing would be.. crawled across the railing to get to the dock and sure glad i did... Ended the day with 14 smallies with 4 bigger then 17 inches with the biggest right at 19 inches... Caught 2 of the keepers on back to back casts what a rush!! Fished all the way downtown catching more but no size then decided to hit the spot where i caught the 2 back to back again and man am i glad i did.. Cast on the rocks and one crank I got NAILED I couldn't turn the fish in the current so I just held on finally got him to the boat and thats where the fun began.. I knew it was big and green but when he starting bulldogging me I knew it was a spot. After 3 runs under the boat and a few prayers to keep him out of the motor and one smack in the head with the net I got him in.. What a PIG i thought i had a state record chance..Called a friend and According to the measurements 19 3/4" 15 3/4" girth he was between 5.1 and 5.6. at this point I knew I needed scales so called Darren(On fish) to see if he was fishing he wasnt but he meet me at the ramp with some certifed scales and we weighed the PIG he went 4.57 lless then a pound short of the 5.8 caught last winter.. Was a litttle disapointed but was still estatic over the catch. Still shaking i walked him down to the rocks and released him to swim again.. Hopefully I will catch this fish again in a year or to!!! All fish caught on spinnerbaits,jigs, grubs, and jerkbait... What a day of fishing!!
