Went up below Watts Bar Dam this morning. Water was rolling hard. All turbines were generating and three spill gates were open. Major trouble finding shad that wouldn't go through our net. Finally caught about six dozen or so and that was it. We brought home seventeen fish for a fish fry - 3 cats, 3 sauger, 2 white bass, 4 crappie and 5 spots. We were fishing for whatever would bite and we had tons of fun with some whopper drum. Also caught a handful of smallmouth, the best just a little over 17".
