Gator, Chickamauga, Crappie, 11/13/09, Labman
#1
I met the Labman at Chester Frost at 7:30am and we hunted for crappie until 2:00 pm. We tried brush piles, blow downs, docks, and bluffs today. The most we caught at one place was about 10 on a blow down in water from 5' to 25' deep and the fish seemed to be in about 8 or 10 ft of water. Others were caught 2 or 3 at a time off docks and other blown down trees. The wind was more than I expected today but not too bad but the "flow" was really strong. Water temp about 57 when we started and about 59 when we stopped. Most fish caught on 6 to 10 count depending upon where we were. Most fish caught in deeper water with 1/16 jig and under the docks with 1/32 jig head. Panfish assassins and BG Shads were the ticket for us today in shad colors dipped. Also Labman caught 3 small bass. It was a real pleasure fishing with the Labman out of his G3 boat, a real smooth ride for sure. THANKS again for the great trip today Labman. Sorry, no fish pictures today but most of what we caught we "could" have kept but all were released to grow bigger. Also, we ran into Drumking and Hal out there, always great to see you all on your Friday fishin' trip. Hope your day went well. emoSmile
