Hal and I started later today than we normally do. You have to catch up on sleep sometimes. emoBig
We started off on a creek channel and only caught 1 crappie before the wind got up so bad that we had to abandon that idea. Then we checked out some new places and found one promising spot that yielded another nice crappie before Hal got tired of battling the wind and current to try to keep us on the spot.

So, we left and went to fish some familiar places. Our total catch for the day was 30 crappie, 1 spotted bass, 1 channel cat, and 2 bluegills. The fish were caught on bg shads mostly, but we did catch a few on panfish assassins. Nearly all our fish were deep and many were caught just dead baiting the jig. Doing nothing about 20 feet deep until a crappie decided to bite it.

Most our our crappie were very nice sized. Many over 12-13 inches, but no TARPs today. We fished points, bluffs, blowdowns, docks, creek channels and some brush. The north wind was cold and whitecapping the lake much of the day. I never did take my coat off. I did shed the gloves. emoBig

We saw Labman and Greg.... Nice meeting the new guy. The old guy was friendly too. We saw a lot of fishermen out today. Must be a tx tomorrow cause a lot of them were bass fishing. emoBig
