#1
Hi there

I am a new member and I seek info about fishing in the sea outside Sri Lanka.

I want to find a company (inc) that can help me fish 4 Giant Travelly, Marlin and tuna. And many more spiecies offcourse.

I serched the internet but could not find much info.

I have fished in Thailand and India before.

Best Wishes

Hi JR
I'm similarly a new member who moderates on a couple of European forums.

Obviously during the previous civil unrest much of the North and North East of the island was 'off limits' to civilians. And I recall a friend unloading a game boat, bound for the Maldives, at Trincomalee and being warned by the military authorities that he had literally hours to run 50 miles offshore otherwise he might be viewed as a legitimate target. Um ... frightening!

So firstly, not knowing where you intend to fish, I wanted to point out that you may still experience restrictions.

However, looking back on one of those forum's I moderate -

, and using the site's Search this Forum facility I notice that there are 20 previous posts where Sri Lanka is mentioned - a mixture of Shore and Boat fishing. You should find something of relevance there.
