DK wanted to see how I was fishing the offshore stuff but it wasn't a good day to play that game. The wind picked up right after we got out as the front had just moved through. The temp. dropped all day long. We didn't catch one fish on my deep spot but there were lots of fish that were marked on the structure. Lockjaw I presume. We caught a couple off a brushpile that I found on the depthfinder off a point in 10-12 feet of water. We decided to shoot some docks, caught one or two off each dock including some dinks. I had one pretty good fish that wrapped me around a post and got off. We went to another dock and caught one there on the first cast, then, not another bite. Very strange! We fished some new springs that I had remembered but no fish caught on them, a few bumps from what felt like bluegills. We ended up with only 3 keepers in the livewell fishing from 9:30 to about 1:15. I would have expected better but fishing new water and crummy weather conditions made it tough. Still, it was a fun day to be out on the water with Dickey. It' always is. Thanks for going with me. Next time will be better, I promise. All of my fish came on panfish assassins on either a 1/32 or 1/16 oz jighead. Most of the fish were at about a 10 count on docks, or about a 20 count with a 1/32 ozer over a deep brushpile.
