hit deep creek again today and had another awesome day of fishing with the good old girl friend and the dog. The fish wanted everything we threw at em . Ice softened up a little with the warm weather but still had a good 4-5 inches below the slush.

Great pictures, looks like a good time.

i cant figure out what the first fish is. if its under the ice swimming or on the ice. were you fishing the damn area or down towards the east side. i normaly like the east side but dont know what the ice is like down that way. i think i am going to try it out saturday but will have the kid with me so wont be able to stay to long. also how are they hitting? I noticed last year they hit very hard early but late in the year it was very light.

That fish i swimming on top of the ice, there is a good amount of slush/water on top of the ice. The bite is sporadic a group a fish would come through on the sonar and you wouldn't get even a bump, then a group will come through and every rod goes off and it is hectic for 5 or 10 minutes. some fish were just bumping the lure and others would grab it and almost pull the rod in the water. Overall the fishing was pretty damn good, hard to beat. We were fishing on the north side, east from the boat ramp. We should be back up there on saturday fishing the same area.

there was quit a group over there, I was in that group fishing off the point by the outhouse. Sounds like it's good about any place you go out there. My boy had the time of his life reeling in everyone's fish.
