Tried drifting for sauger again today. Spent 2 hours in a number of our normal spots. Water at 79000 cfs. water color just right and temp good at 46.7. Switched to crappie. Again used a 1/16 jig under a float in 3 -5ft of water along the bluff. Got 13 crappie, 1 shellcracker and 1 bluegill in the live well. Wind out of North to Northeast was cold all day long. Between the wind and current the trolling motor got a work out and we hung at least 13 trees, stumps or rocks while drifting for the crappie. Will be back tomorrow to try our luck.
