I put in at Crow Creek about mid morning and we fished breaks on the main river channel for most of the day looking for stageing fish. Water temperature ranged anywhere form 36-39 degrees and the wind was out of the north most of the day. I fished traps, underspins, medium diving crankbaits, some swimbaits in the shallows, and spinnerbaits. Not much action. I had one bite all day long; it turned out to be a 2lb 12 oz. crappie. I took it on an Xr-50, and it was stuffed with threadfin. We marked a lot of fish and bait there, but was never able to get any bass to take. My dog took a swim, unintentionally, right after the picture was taken so it kinda ruined that.
