Got on the water about 11:00 at CFP. Sun was shining and looked like a nice day weather wise. Water was still pretty discolored from the recent rain and only about a foot below summer pool. TVA is pulling water like mad so I had decided to avoid fishing in the main river channel if I could. Dallas Bay was just loaded with baitfish, but the predator fish were a little scarce. I was playing with my new structure scan when Polo and Drumking pulled up and we all had a go at some open water structure that Polo and I had found during the summer. Nothing was happening for me so I left to try some docks.

I caught 3 keeper crappie on docks with the largest just over 13". I know that doesn't sound like many fish, but my previous 3 trips were total zeros without any fish at all. All caught on PA in milk color with blue and silver flecks and a tail lite on 1/32 oz jig. So I was a little encouraged that all the crappie hadn't been washed down through the dam and a few were still in Chickamauga, lol. Water temp was up a little at 46 and fish caught on a 5 count drop in 18 ' of water. Very slow stop and go retrieve and very subtle bite.

Came in about 2:30, sorry report wasn't better, but at least an improvement from the past 3 trips.

Regards, Labman

Oops, What is that Lab doing in my bed emoTskTsk
