BFL Bulldog anglers set to tangle with Lake Sinclair
#1
MILLEDGEVILLE Ga. (Feb. 24, 2010) - The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to Lake Sinclair, March 6 for the first of five stops in the Bulldog Division series. As many as 400 pro and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively.

"It has been extremely cold and we have had a lot of rain this winter," said FLW Tour pro Tom Mann, Jr. of Buford, Ga. "The lake will be fairly stained and water temperatures will probably be below normal so the fish will be slow. Anglers should use small jigs around docks.

"If there is a warming trend anglers may be successful using spinnerbaits in the upper arms and creeks. The grassy areas along the back shoreline may produce a lot of fish."

Mann, Jr. added that anglers should never overlook the rip-rap on Lake Sinclair, it is always a good bet this time of year.

Anglers will take off from Little River Park located at 3069 North Columbia Street in Milledgeville, Ga., at 7:15 a.m. Weigh-in will be held at Little River Park beginning at 4:15 p.m. Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

Bass Fishing League competition is a 24-division league circuit devoted to weekend anglers, that offers even bigger prizes to qualifiers of the regional championship and those who make it to one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing - the BFL All-American presented by Chevy. Top winners in the BFL can move up to the American Fishing Series or even the FLW Tour.
