Louie B, Chickamauga CBA, Slime Balls, 02.27.10, Bill Payne
#1
Bill and I fished the first CBA on windy Chickamauga. I practiced on Wednesday and knew it would be slow but the fish are heavy right now and if you can run across the right area anythings possible. We caught between 15-20 keepers just never found the right size to compete. All fish were less than 10ft deep, caught in clear(er) water areas. The area's where the water was dirty we struggled both in practice and in the game.

Bill and I ended the tournament with 13lbs and had a great time. Tournament was ran well as usual, blast off was the slowest in history LOL but the CBA do a fantastic job and put on the best tournament in our area. We used 3/8 Aruku Shads, Lucky Craft Pointers 100's, and 3/8 Fish Head Spins tipped w/ Big Bite Jerk Minnows which are similar to a fluke, just a little bit thinner. Hopefully we'll get some warmer weather so the true pre spawn bite will pick up.

Congrats to Steve Kite and Daniel Lewis for their massive blowout win. AND SOMEONE PLEASE TELL KITE THAT BILL AND I ARE NOT FROM BLUE RIDGE, GA LOL. If he says that one more time, LOL. Nothing against Blue Ridge by the way.

LB
