I had such a good time yesterday late afternoon that I thought I would go back and pick up where I left off. It started like I left it. About ten casts into the morning I had one nail a crank. Set the hook and a small keeper came in that was 15.5 inches and weighed 2 lbs 1 oz. I thought it was going to be on but that is the only crank bite. I went out to the hump I fished yesterday and could not buy a bite. Used a crank, a worm, a shakey head and then switched to a swim bait. One nailed it and I missed it. emoBang Couple casts later another nailed it and I missed it. emoBang emoBang Finally had another hit and miss but this time I let it die after I tried to set the hook and it killed it. Up came one that was very nice, looked huge but only weighed 4 lbs even. emoScratch Looked bigger then that. Try as I did I could not get another bite there. I hit a whole lot of other spots I trolled to but nothing. Finally about eleven I had a hard hit on a shakey head and set the hook. Big fish, I worked it in and as it got under the boat it rolled. emoBang When bass fishing a fish that rolls is not a good sign. It means one of two thing, drum or cat. Sure enough it was about a six lb drum. That was my last hook up. I had one more hit on a blade but again I missed it. Today they seemed to be just slapping my baits. Still a good morning to be out and the sun once it came up got it warmed up some. I left at 1 oclock. Water started at 44 and ended at 46. emoAngler Jmax
