Went out on the hiwassee for a while today. On the 3rd or 4th cast of the morning I caught a nice tarp crappie at the mouth of a creek. The next keeper was my first black nose crappie of this year. Smaller fish were being caught up in the creek itself so I traveled on up river a ways to a different spot which produced more keeper sized fish. Several of the fish I was catching had those lampreys eels latched onto them. They would drop off the fish when inside of the boat, so I had a couple on the floor to take a pic of. All fish were caught on PA's on a 16th. Water temp 44 degrees.
