Started the day by showing Ryan my super secret crappie fishing hole. As I promised the fish where there in numbers. After catching 15 or so we decided to try and find some bass for more of a challenge. Ran to a spot Superbad told me about. Fished in water that went from 8 to 25 ft very quicky.Water temp was 43 to 44 degrees. Fished a jerkbait very slow and CRACK....man that fish nailed it. Caught one more good keeper off that spot. Ryan then wanted to show me his super secret crappie fishing hole. Ok to be very honest his spot was WAY better than mine for large fish. We did not catch a fish under 11 inches off his spot. Ryan caught his first TARP of 2010. Then he put a 13.5 in the boat. We could have caught over 75 fish easy today if we would have wanted to. It is so hard to stay in one spot when you have a Side Imaging unit. We really wanted to ride around and try some new spots today and save those killer waypoints. Crappie are moving up, all fish where caught in 10 to 15 ft of water in BG on 1/16th jig head. Great day one the water today!!! We boated around 30 crappie today. Thanks Ryan!!
