Friend of mine was just there a week or so ago. They started fishing at about 10 at night and fished until 4 AM fished for two days caught 250 fish. I though it was a load of bull, but they fished with lights on floats one on each side of the boat. HE said they had a heck of a time getting the jigs past the first 20 feet because the smaller fish kept hitting the jigs. They put real heavy weights on the jigs so they would go down really fast to get to the macs on the bottom. When he came back to work he was all torn up from pulling his rigs out of the fishes mouths. He said they would limit out in the first hour or so the play catch & release the rest of the night until they couldn't lift their arms anymore to pull up fish.

I wanna go!!!!!!!!!!

Dan tried to give me a hard time about writing this up. I thought it was a great report, and thought someone should know about it when asked. Just some people you have to have taller boots to be around than most. Good to hear from you too. I'd love to tie into a night of fishing like that. Juat haven't had the opportunity....yet

Was just there,Fished the northern part though,We fished for mainly splake and you need a boat to fish the lake,We fished right off the weed line for some perch, then moved just out side of them to catch splake,we didn't catch big numbers, but great sized fish,15" to 23" splake with a few mac's mixed in,all the lake trout where small,I found fishing in the morning to be the best, and caught most the fish in 70 feet of water,on three inch white tubes, with 1/2 oz wieghts,of course the big chunks of perch meat had to help.

Marked alot of fish, and if you dont want to catch splake, troll pop gear and a green wedding ring for none stop rainbows up to 14",lost intrest in them really quick,The best fishing for rainbows was right in front of bowery haven marina just outside the weed line, had doubles and triples on in that area,we just did big circle to stay on the fish.

Good Luck,
