Fished for sauger around the bluffs below watts bar dam during the rain. Picked up 12-15 fish --- 2 being keepers. water temp 45. Used 11/3 oz jigs vertical jigging. after lunch tried crappie. Used 1/32 oz feather jigs under a float on shallow wood ---found 4-5 keepers. Checked out the creeks and found water temp at 51 degrees and they had crappie also. Total keepers for the day 18 crappie and 2 sauger. All crappie were caught presenting the jig under a float suspended 2-3 feet. Water depth was 3 - 10 ft where we fished. Some of that right where the old river bed drops off to 20 - 30 ft. You could go down a stretch with 10 pieces of wood and they would be on 1 and not the other 9. But when you found the correct wood -- bang. Light hits, but they were inhaling the jig. Chartruese color mixed with a little black. No pics today -- camera in the dry

alll sauger came from 44- 50 ft in deep holes
