Name's Josh. Only started fishing a couple years ago, but got addicted quickly and now am building my own pond and can't keep fish, lures, water, bait, rods, reels, all that out of my head. Not that I'd want to. []

Found this site through Recycled Fish, a great organization I hope to get to know more about in the future.

Getting more and more involved in pond management, learning more and more every day, thanks to Pond Boss.

Anyway, seriously, didn't mean to plug them above, necessarily, but I like to give credit where credit is due.

My addiction to fishing started when we were visiting my mother-in-law in Fort Lauderdale. Walking catfish, big brown bullheads (I think), spotted tilapia, black bass, and my favorite, peacock bass. Got me hooked. Pun most definitely intended.

So I came back and started fishing. Not catching, just fishing. Took quite a while to figure out the catching part, and still working on that. Got familiar with landing largemouth, have a fondness (and palate) for crappie and panfish, a respect for catfish and carp, an anticipation for smallies and wipers, and a general admiration of fish, water, anglers, and everything in between.

For me, what fishing is all about is this...
