Thanks, the fishing was real good. Caught 11 total for the day. Funny thing is I left my phone at home so no pics. Sorry. I'll post some tomorrow. When I got to 33 hole the wind was blowing pretty hard on the spot I have going to lately and I knew Hemmingway would be even worse so I tried a spot I've been wanting to try over at Sunset View. Provided some shelter from the wind. Caught to decent stripers nothing special. Once the weather warmed up a bit and wind died down headed over to 33 hole for the rest of the day. It was nonstop action once my pole was in the water.Caught 2 at sunset view in 4 1/2 hours and 9 at 33 hole in 3 1/2 hours. All on anchovies and sardines. Only reason I left when I did was because I ran out of bait. I'm fishing on the other side of the little cove at 33 hole which is a longer hike, but worth it. Griebes are diving and coming back up with shad out there and I've seen a couple of wounded shad floating on top of the water last couple of trips. If the fishing is this good at 33hole I'll bet Stewarts Point is pretty good. [signature]

Hey giddyup, I was out there on friday and had some luck. I tried 'chovies but no luck. I guess I was not in deep enough water. Did you see any surface actvity where the birds were getting the shad? I know that it is just about time.

No surface activity as far as birds chasing shad. The griebes were diving for them. Not sure how deep they were going, but they were at the opening of the cove at 33hole not too deep. I am starting to surface activity as far as what looks like shad flipping on the surface around sunset. I'm parking in the first lot on the left when you pull off of Lakeshore Dr. and fishing the other side of the cove. Its a longer hike than the middle parking lot, but I'm catching far more fish on that side. [signature]

[cool]Yeah, I parked on the middle lot and walked down to where alot of people fish and launched. Nice to here that the shad are starting to dimple the surface.
