Took off this morning in search of crappie and after battling the wind for about 3 hours I decided to give it up with only 2 keepers. They were very slow today. I decided to see if there were any bass stirring and made two casts around a sumerged log with a spinnerbait and the fight was on. A nice bronze back near 5 lbs. (see pics). The wind carried me 1/4 mile away from the log as I was trying to snap a picture of her. I motored back to the log and the next cast the fight was on again. This time it was a good LM. You can see images below. I caught 10 bass today with only one SM (4 keepers total and the rest were short). All in all I had a good day. The wind was a bear. NOAA predicted 10-15 MPH with gusts up to 20 and I believe every bit of it. Caught all my fish on a white spinnerbait except one and I caught him on a red eye shad (1/2 oz.). Water temperature was 56 F at the high end and the fish were in 4-6 ft. of water.

Tight lines! emoAngler
