Out on a half day w/ Ken aka Tokoyolunkers today. Ken wanted to work on his jerkbait technique and of course try his luck at a trophy spot on the best trophy spot lake in the country (in my opinion of course). I've been expecting to get a spot in the 6-7lb class for a couple of weeks and hopefully it's on the way but for today, we didn't get it done.

We fished from 7:30-12:30 using a few sizes/colored jerkbaits. Focusing mostly on transition banks and off-shore structure. Fishing is still slow overall w/ the water temperatures still 48-49 degrees in the lower/mid lake. We boated 10 spots and 2 carp. We weighed our best five spots w/ Cul'M'Rites, they weighed, 5.65, 5.12, 3.85, 3.17, and 2.50 for a total of 20.29lbs. Ken caught his personal best spot today on the jerkbait about an hour into the day. The big spot weighed 5.12 and gave Ken a battle on back of my Triton. Shortly before that I had caught a 5.65 spot on a Pointer 100. I also caught a couple of 8lb+ Carp on jerkbait which is always fun. They're really a sporty fish, great fighters and they know how to bite a jerkbait.

here's a few pics from my camera phone. Ken has much better pics on his camera and will add them later on I'm sure. There are 4 different fish pictured, first 2 pics are of Ken and I with the 5.65 and 5.12, the next picture is Ken w/ the 3.85 and 3.17. Also added a picture of Ken fighting one of the green beasts.

Thanks a lot Ken, I had a blast and look forward to you guys coming back in May.

Lake Info: Lake level was 1075.4 when we arrived and looked as if it dropped around 2ft during our trip. Water Clarity is perfect from the Dam-Woodring area 5ft+ Vis. Temps ranged from 48-50. We stayed below Woodring all day.

I'm having trouble posting pictures all the sudden LOL.
