Got out for the first night trip of the year with the boys. We managed to forget to get bait and didn't feel like making another run so we scrapped up some yellow bass scraps people have left laying all over the place and used them as cut bait. We fished from 1-4 this morn and managed 4 channels and 3 being very solid fish with several nibbles that never turnded into anything. I did hook up with a goliath off an entire half of a yellow, locked in for a couple seconds and snap went the Berkley Big Game 30lb. line. It was a very good fish emoEek but I couldn't get my drag loosened up before it was too late. All I know is the 12' Shakespeare Power Rod was a great investment for the dam trips. I can chunk 4 oz all the way over to the last turbine with this brute and it makes light work of the 0-20lb. fish... just get em on top of the water and ski them all the way to you emoLaugh !!! emoBig But a great trip and can't wait until summer!!!! Finally getting that place figured out!!! Sorry no pics!!!
