Decided to try to get out a little this afternoon to start breaking in the new lower unit. I called Rudy who said he would hold down the other seat for me. We had to go slow as we are not to go over 3500 RPMs in the first five hours of use. Got on the water at 4:00 and hit some deep water ledges. The bite was fair and consistent. Caught about 8 or so there with one nice keeper LM going 2.5 lbs and a couple keeper spots. Caught them all on shakey heads. Moved to a back water slough and manged three more nice keeper LM there all on shakeys as well with a couple shorts on monster worms. Most of those fish came out of less then 5 foot. Made one more move to a deep water point and got another keeper LM there about 2.5 lbs as well. That one came on a big blade. Rudy also hooked a big one there on a trap that broke his line. emoBang We ended up with 16 bass today with 7 keepers, five LM and two spots. We left at 8:00 right as the sun set.

Beautiful day on the water, great sun set and good company. Best five would have gone only about 11 to 11.5 lbs but we had a good time. Water temp was 71 this afternoon. emoAngel

C-ya on the water... emoAngler Jmax
