Fished on Loudon yesterday (1/2 day) and today above the dam. Water temperatures were 67-71 F. Bass were very slow. We managed to catch a few (12-14) yesterday but only had 4 that would measure. The bite really turned on after 5 pm. Today, seemed to be even harder to put a "measurable" fish in the boat. We caught a bunch (15 or so) but only had 2 that would measure. I must have made 15,000 casts without even a sign of a bigger fish on. We pulled out at 3 pm. A few bucks were on the beds. Fish seemed to be relating to rocky points with stumps or brush nearby suspended in 5-10 ft. All of our fish came off of crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft jerkbaits. A few little fish were in shallower (1-3ft). We did manage about 6 smallmouth in the mix. No size of course. (Guess I will have to get back to Tims Ford!) There were 6 of my buddies down here today with all of us having the same results. A few of them did wind up with some nice crappie they found trolling grubs in 6-8ft in the creek channels. We saw some other guys in the Fork doing the same. It's funny, I never complain about a day on the water, but sometimes even the most perfect days (beautiful sunshine, no clouds, no wind) are the hardest. emoBooHoo No pics today!

Tight lines! emoAngler
