<br /> Well the bite has been great this past week. Have caught lots of fish that have already been spawned out over the last couple days. <br /> Earlier in the week we were getting a great topwater/spinnerbait bite, but were only catching small fish. Mostly 12-14" spots. But this past weekend, we've been getting into some better fish. <br /> Had a 50+ fish day earlier in the week but only boated maybe 10-15 keepers only making a 9-10lb bag. We had caught about all our fish on SBs that day. <br /> Plenty of 30-40 fish days as well. Lots of small fish. Bite seemed to be best on Sunny days. Cloudy days have been slow like on Saturday. Only boated 15 Sat. <br /> Had two trips planned yesterday. Was planning on fishing with Colby in the morning and fishing with Nickajack Angler and his dad in the afternoon. Colby and I got out there around 7:30-8AM and fished for about 3 hours, boating 24 spots and 6 keeper largemouth. Best 5 would've gone 14lbs and change. Caught a couple nice spots including 2 18-19 inchers. One was spawned out and the other still had a good belly full of eggs. All the largemouth were spawned out as well. Two or three of the LM yesterday were 18-19" as well. Love days like that. If the best 5 fish yesterday had not been spawned out yet our bag would've been alot bigger! <br /> But the afternoon trip fell through with NA and his dad as my lovely motor guide had a short in the wire. Sorry we didnt get to fish Spencer. emoBang <br /> Ended up fishing this evening with my buddy shane, bite was slow, only boated 12 fish with a couple decent keepers. But I guess because it was a cloudy day like Saturday. Cant seem to catch fish on cloudy days right now, I dont know why... cloudy days should be the best. <br /> Anyways, we havent taken but 3 pictures since Wed. The first is one of Shanes largemouth Wed. and the second is a decent spot he caught topwater Wed. as well. The last is a decent spot I caught yesterday AM w/ Colby that went 3.5-4lbs that measured 18.50". <br /> Enjoy the pics.... gonna have to figure out this trolling motors problem before I get my boat back on the water, shouldnt be long.
