Met up with my uncle Greg this morning at 5am and headed North to the Watts Bar dam. Got to the ramp about 6:30 and headed upstream to the dam in search for some big Stripahs! It was a picture perfect morning for Striper fishing....Cloudy, rainy, gloomy....it was perfect!

Started out up at the dam and got our first fish pretty quick. Stayed in the same general area taking turns drifting with 2 other boats. It was about a 100yd stretch of bank that the Stripers were relating to. We continued catching fish on about every other drift. The bite slowed down there so we came back down river a little ways to one of Greg's other spots. Immediately found fish there as well. Stayed there for a bit then ran back up to drift some more and see if the fish had calmed down....they had! Caught several more until we finally had to head back to the ramp to be back at work by lunch. I absolutely HATE having to leave when the fish are biting as good as they were today.

Finished the day catching at least a dozen or more Stripers with the biggest two both going a shade under 20lbs. All of the Stripers we caught were in between 10-20lbs. Greg got a nice surprise too when he hooked up with a 5.8lb Smalljaws! We had several hookups today that the fish would pull of somehow, but still managed an excellent 3 hours on the water. Couldn't ask for a better day!!!

Here's a few pics from our cell phones. Wish we would have gotten pics of all of them!

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn56/dirtymax58/34dbc9ea.jpg

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn56/dirtymax58/fa5aeeb2.jpg

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn56/dirtymax58/2bf2e817.jpg

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn56/dirtymax58/d3624f79.jpg

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn56/dirtymax58/13a4b909.jpg

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn56/dirtymax58/bf6f246d.jpg
