hit the lake about 8am with glockjr left grasshopper and headed across to sale creek . started shooting on a floating dock with a BG split tail in chartreuse glitter and got a fat 13" crappie on the first cast emoDance . ended up catching quite a few nice keepers there before the wind made to hard to shoot emoBang when we did manage to shoot into the right place we were still getting keepers but it just got to aggravating getting hung up 3-4 casts in a row emoHoppingmad. moved over to a bluff area that was still holding lots of smaller fish ( and out of the wind ) and had fun there for a bit but we were in need of fish for the freezer. went back to the first dock and manged a few more on a 6 count before we headed up river to another floating dock back in a creek. at first it was only shorts . switched colors to a BG blue thunder and started getting keepers. the fish here were shallow 1-2 count in 6 fow . (the first dock was in 12 fow) finished up the day with 22 nice keepers , one that was nearly 14" that glockjr caught, and 41 short fish . not a bad day catching at all for post front and windy conditions.

almost forgot. what glockjr lacked in quantity he made up for in quality fish .....well except for the littlest fish of the day. ( he also had the biggest)
our best 7 went 8lbs 12oz and total bag of 22 fish was a little over 20lbs

what a great day out with my oldest son emoBigSmile
