Thought I'd hit Chickamauga yesterday morning before leaving for Guntersville. Met up with Jonathanfaith2 at daybreak. We launched out of Harrison Bay and ran north to my favorite slough where we stayed for the next 4 hours fishing water as shallow as 2 feet and as deep as 12. Used a variety of lures including lipless cranks, blades, and plastics. We caught 4-6 keepers of no real size. Jonathan won big fish honors with a 3 lber. We finished the rest of the morning in the back of Chester Frost Park fishing amongst the stumps. Caught a couple of more keepers on lipless cranks and swimbaits. Jonathan lost a really good one at the boat. Had it been a tournament, I would've beat him over the head with my rod. We caught upwards of 35 fish for the day. The weather was fantastic. Water temps were in the upper 60's in the morning but warmed quickly into low the 70's by the time we got off the water around 1:00. Wind was not a factor. Water clarity approached 5 feet or so.
