Hit the water about midnight for our normal Sunday night trip. Fish were on! Kruger started off on fire hooking up with 3 good fish, 14.8lb, 15.6lb, and 16.5 lber. We were thinking this was going to be a good trip for his first T.A.R.P cat. Didn't take long and he hooked up with something big, we were trying to get unhooked from the wall......it was pulling drag hard...it was a monster....he was worried about the fishing pulling too much line so he tightened up the drag and blam....snap she went. Don't know what it was but it was big. Continued fishing through the night, I ended up catching a 36in 22.4 Blue and followed it up with a 17.8lb blue. All in all, it was a great night of fishing. Caught several fish over 10lbs and several small bait stealers. Ended up 40+ for the night. They turned on a second turbine and we had to move down. Bait=boneless chicken breast/live 3-4" bluegill. The big ones that I caught were using a single split shot and letting the current do its thing, while he stayed on the bottom. Soon we will get one of those 40+ lbers that we see EricM,RSimms, and Cathooker proudly displaying....until then see ya' next week!
