We caught quite a few fish on Saturday, around 25-26, and we were able to start culling within an hour and a half I'd say, and ended up culling every fish we had to start. We fished within sight of the ramp for about 80% of the day and caught every fish on shakeyheads off of bigger than average rip rap, most fish were within 10 feet of the bank, but within 10 feet of the bank the depth was already down to 10 or so feet, 17-18 feet where our boat was. I lost one keeper on a jig though which would have been the first fish I ever caught on a jig, would have bumped us up a couple pounds I think too. We ran down to Hales Bar Marina for about 45 minutes and caught 3-4 there, one of which was a 4 pounder that I thought was a flathead catfish...Her mouth was wide open and gills flared so she didn't have the profile of a bass when I first saw her but then she jumped and we saw it was a pretty good bass. It was a really good day of fishing, everything on the boat worked perfectly and we caught fish all day long basically and didn't get rained on which was a shocker to me. Bring on Memorial Day weekend!

Also, 3 fish I had pick up the shakeyhead actually brought the bait all the way back to the boat before I set the hook, one was actually behind me under the boat when I set the hook, I've never had that happen to me I was laughing at the ridiculousness of it as I reeled in the slack with them.
