A beautiful morning on the Tennessee River! I wasn't sure where I wanted to go fishing, and I wound up, of course, at my usual/favorite catfish hole. I started out just at daylight and stayed until almost noon and I enjoyed the morning immensely. There wasn't a soul catfishing out there except me for the first 3 hours. And there were fish there! I boated 14 today, with the "one" I was looking for managing to escape after about a 10 second battle which I was losing badly. Every once in a while the hook doesn't connect and just slides out of the fish's mouth, and I guess this was the day. Lots of fish on the sonar and even some schools of shad - but very deep (30-40 feet).

No accidents, oopses, or "oh man"s again today. I believe the dance involving the live chicken and the chanting by the old woman with no teeth has finally broken the "Spurhunter" curse I have carried for some time.

The first pic was just after I had taken the camera out of it's "safe" traveling case (my cooler) and I had a bit of a fogging problem it seems! I also managed one nice drum from the old "favorite hole" today too.

Sure is good to be back on the river regularly!!!!!!
