First of all congrats to everyone who brought in a limit and my hat is off to all the the guys and gals in the smaller boats that made it back safely with all the boat traffic.

We started off fast with a lot of blow ups on top water up shallow, but nothing to brag about. We moved out deeper and deeper until we found a school of 10 inch fish busting bait. We had to leave there because you couldn't cast without catching one of them. So, we made a long run up river and fished ledges, coves, pockets, and ditches and only managed one 3lb. keeper. Then we decided to run back down and try to scratch out a limit. We managed on more keeper and then right at the end of the day i hooked a smallie that we thought was going to give us our limit and extra 3lbs. Just our luck 17 1/2 inches. I told Wormy after it was all over that we should have weighed it in and called it a mean mouth (whatever that is?) emoBig
since no one weighed any of those short brown fish. All in all we had a good day just no good fish. Looking back we should have stayed on a couple of our spots and not moved around as much. We never had any boats on us all day maybe that should tell us something. emoLaugh
