First fishing trip in the new ride with my better half.
Took a fall in the shiny new to me boat and blasted both knees.
Very painful, but funny in a way too. I survived and learned another lesson of course.
I am getting more comfortable with it and I know this hole in the water is what I wanted.
Susan enjoyed it and we both like how it runs. The only thing I forgot the trolling motor was down and as we accelerated, we got washed down by shaft in the water, no harm done, but another lesson learned emoTeacher
On to the fishing... emoAngler
No water moving and T storms threatening we searched and rode around.
Tried bluffs hmmmm no water moving. Went to a bridge and started on some crappie and Susan caught a nice slab.
Weather started getting iffy, so we went to training dock #1 and finally squeezed a shot or two under it to snag a few more slabs on 16s and 32s of various colors. BG and PA in any color as long as we could get it into position for our finicky fish.
We cut our trip short as the rain and lightning showed up and successfully took the boat out at the ramp.
I took a pic of Susan's first crappie from her new boat!
God blesses us in so many ways all the time! emoCool
