Been out to much lately. Not enough time to return calls or emails, which is a good thing.

Lake level is at 1074.1 which is approx 2ft over full pool. Clarity is still outstanding considering the lake was a big wave pool this weekend for the holiday. The crowds weren't to bad until about mid day then after that it was a party until dark.

I was out today from 7am-12pm with 3 brothers. Mike, John, and Ralph Barlow from Florida. Ralph actually lives here in Chatsworth, and the other two still reside in the Sunshine State. We boated 8 hybrids and a few spots on our short trip. We focused on bait balls in open water, most fish were 25-40ft suspended around bait in much deeper water. We ran across 3 schools in which we had the opportunity to double and at one point we tripled but it was hard to boat all that bit. We were using 8ft St Croix UL Rods w/ 10lb Braid and 8lb Fluro leader so it made for some great action. Mike really wanted a challenge and brought a 7ft UL Dropshot rod w/ 4lb Fluro and used it. He actually boated an 8lb Hybrid w/ his small rod which give him a battle. 8lb Hybrids will give you all you can handle on light spinning tackle ALL fish were released after photo and in great shape to fight another day !!! Mike took a lot of photo's with his camera so if when I get those I'll add em to the post.

The spots are starting to move deeper but for me they're very scattered right now. Topwater early and late, jig heads and scroungers through mid-day is my best bet for artificial.

LB
