Decided to play a little russian roulette with these pop up thunder storms we've been having in the evenings. I

guess I made out ok by only getting slightly wet. One great thing about it is that the boat ramps aren't loaded and

therefore fewer wakes.

I've been field testing some sufix neon tangerine High Viz line for the past few weeks. Appears to be good stuff. I

can see this neon orange much better than the Mr. Crappie line most of the time. Under some conditions though I

think the Mr. Crappie line stands out a little better so I have my reels spooled with both colors.

Caught some good fish on docks with very few throw backs. 32nd on 8 seems to make the best connection for me

in at least 15ft of water. Docks with wooden posts are fairing the best with floating docks being the worst. My best

producing dock had a ledge that broke into deep water right up under it. The christmas trees on top of the ledge

under the dock didn't hurt things either.

Caught 20+ crappie off of docks. Most docks fished held no to just a single fish here and there. The majority of the

catch came from just three good docks that were holding fish nowhere near each other.

I got one of those fish counters but find I keep forgetting to use the thing. Sad

isn't it?

Oh watch out for those airplanes guys!
