Got up really early this morning to try and beat the heat a little. Launched from CFP about 5:45, first tlr in the parking lot, imagine that. emoScratch I ran up to the nuke plant to see if I could catch anything on top or if the white bass were doing there thing there. Caught 2 med. whites on tiny fluke, and 4 spots. Tried a couple of crappie spots and picked up a few keeper fish. It was a great time to be out on the water, but fishing was a little slow. I headed back down river and tried a dropshot rig for some bass. Caught 2 more spots and can see some potential in this rig. First time trying it.

Headed over to WT bridge to check on the crappie there. Marked lots of fish, but bite was very slow. Now I know that DK and BassERT had been there before me and gave them all sore mouths. By the time I ran into DK and Pat it was starting to get hot (10:30) and after they left I decided to try one more stop for crappie on a deep dock. Picked up 5 keepers there on a 14 count with 1/32 jig and BG Shad. Ended day with 13 crappie, 6 sm-med spots and 2 med white bass. All fish returned to the lake.

Not my most productive outing, but nice to be out early in the morning after sitting at home over the weekend.

Regards, Labman
