Pat Ryan picked me up at Tyner lane ramp at 6:30 this AM. Right off the bat, the motor wouldn't start. Dead cranking battery. After checking fuses, etc. it was determined to move the cables to the trolling motor battery to see if it would start. Bingo! Pat's cranking battery lasted 5 years as it had a 1/05 sticker on it, so it was time to die. We moved to Wolftever creek to fish for crappie. Pat didn't want to go very far with a potential problem, and I couldn't blame him at all. Anyway, we did manage to catch 33 crappie at the bridge and under a few docks. Mostly small crappie. We did stop back in the creek and fish for Polo's white bass. I managed to catch two nice white's and a couple of yellow bass. All Pat could catch back there were yellow bass, but he caught about 8 or 9 and the biggest yellow bass that I have seen. I should have kept the yellow bass for dinner, but didn't know that we were going to catch so many and so big. All fish released today. We fished 1/16 jigheads for the bass and 1/32 jigheads for the crappie. Mostly blue ghost color with a tail light. Looks like I'm going to have to order another supply of these plastics. I am including a pic of the swallows at the bridge. Pat has all the fishing pics and will post them later. emoBigSmile emoGeezer
