Took a trip to the nuke plant late this morning around 11:00 am but wish we had gone up earlier. Lot's of activity with schooling white bass and largemouth and the catfish bite was pretty good also. The white bass and bass were just gorging themselves on the shad that seemed to be everywhere. I caught a few here and there on a roostertail. I just had a little chicken breast for the cats that had been frozen and thawed out a few times and had seen it's better days. I was lucky and ran into Cathooker who was catching a lot of very nice cats on skipjack and he was nice enough to give us a bag of bream and skipjack as he was leaving. We left shortly after he did and decided to just freeze our bait for the next trip. The heat and a rumble or two of thunder in the distance cut our trip a little short. Here's a few pics and one of Cathooker with a "huge" cat.

By the way - I have to mention I met and spent a little time with Fat Albert as I bought a custom fishing rod from him a couple of days ago. What a nice guy. He and his wife made us feel like we were right at home and besides having just the right fishing rod I was looking for they gave us four ears of corn. You were right Al, that corn was great and we went out and got some more - 10 ears for $1.49 at a Publix near you. I'm suppose to meet him in about thirty minutes to pick up my fishing rod and I'm really excited about using it as soon as possible. It's some quality craftsmanship coming from a new quality friend. Thanks again Al !

Jeff
