Well we took the Wizards boat out for its first time on the water in over 8 years. Had a couple minor issues to start out that eventually worked themselves out. We started fishing around Hales Bar and caught 4 fish there, Caught 3 LM on buzz bait and had a few bites more but no takers, Caught 1 on a Hedges torpedo plug(topwater) caught 1 red eye on brush hogg. Our sole pupose for going today was to try out the wizards boat. once we got carburator cleaned out a little we headed towards the north end of Bennett Lake, where we ended up helping a stranded boat get help. Called Hales Bar Marina for a tow as the boat we was in didn't have the power to offer a tow, by then it was getting pretty warm out so we called it a day and are planning on going back tomorrow. biggest fish may have been lucky to go 2 lbs. we didn't get on the water till 9:30, gonna be on the water at sunrise tomorrow.
