Fished the TwoRivers tourny today on Weiss. We found fish suprisingly shallow considering the water temp was 86-87 all day. Started the day swiming a jig through grass with no luck. Changed and threw a CUTTHROAT rumble jig and the fish wanted it. We stuck with the rumble jig most of the day and mixed in some texas rigged plastics from time to time. As we would come across wood I would flip a CUTTHROAT bruised melon jig. The fish didn't seem to be relating much to wood but later in the day we did pick up a nice kicker fish from a small stump on the jig. We caught fish in water from 1 to 4 feet deep. Ended up catching about 12 with our best 5 weighing 16-11 which was good for the win. 14-11 got 2nd and 10-4 got 3rd. We also had big fish of 5-3. I'm betting there will be some good weights in the Grants tourny tomorrow.
