Met Tom at Fish and Fun this morning. I was having a little problem understanding a few features on my HDS units so Tom told me to pick him up this morning and we could go on the lake and he would help. (That is better customer service than Hummingbird toll free number for sure!! ) emoThumbsup So Sam and I met Tom around 8:30 and got out on the lake around 9am and Tom graciously spent and hour plus with us on the water running through the structure scan making sure the bow and console linked properly showing us how to use the split screens etc. I can say Tom should be on the Lowrence payroll! emoBigSmile He dialed the units in and I ran him back to Fish and Fun (BTW they sell and install the units and their prices are competitive in case you are considering) Thanks Tom. So I meet Sam back at the boat ramp - Like Tennfisher if you have your boat in the water you may as well fish a little right? And since Sam was off from work today we headed out to a ledge and got there around 10:30 and fished an hour and a half. No current - hot and no breeze but the fish are there! emoGeezer So we started jigging deep and I hooked and landed the first four fish - a bluegill, a nice 2+ white bass, a yellow bass (SAM kept for bait) and a LM. Then Sam dialed into them and caugt a few bass. Bass were all LM today and between 1-1/2 and 2 1/2 pounds. White Bass were all 2+ and pulled like crazy. Hooked one drum and then a nice surprise which was the last fish of the day before Sam had to drop me off so I could get some work done. Cannot believe it but he hooks a huge Paddlefish emoAngler He fought it for maybe 10 minutes but seemed longer and every time it got to the boat ir took off. It was snagged in the tail and we had trouble getting it close to handle it because of the way it was hooked. Finally got it on board and got a few pics of Sam holding it!! Waht a great hour and half of fishing!! Oh and the new graphs helped a lot! We could really dial in on them.
