A man can't catch any crappie for those trashy green fish getting on his line. emoPoke JK. Dr Phillip Gawthrop and I actually targeted bass at the Riverpark this AM and only hooked 3, so we said phooey on this and went to the lake to crappie fish. Bad idea. Water chiggers, destroyers, and various other aggravations just hindered us until we finally cried uncle and put the boat back on the trailer. We did manage to catch about 4 yellow bass in Polo's secret fishing hole and while sitting in the creek there, a big boat pulling a wave runner passed by about 30 feet away and the wake was so big that we got to take a bath. It came over the front of the boat and soaked the carpet front to back. THANKS A LOT PAL!

I was just about to quit for the AM when a 4 lb 9oz largemouth bass decided that he really liked my 1/16 oz jighead with a mo-glo slab slayer on it. We thought for a couple of minutes that it was a catfish by the way it was rolling and pulling drag on my little 4 lb test Mr Crappie line. But Dr Phil had the net ready and the first time that we saw the fish it was about 2 feet from the side of the boat and already in the net. Whee doggies! Pretty fish and great fight on ultralight line. We quit on that one and went home.

I saw Reliable and his 2 sons down at the Riverpark again, and wbwillie at the dock. It didn't look like anyone was slaying the bass. We saw one or two fish caught besides our 3. emoBig
